My 5 year old granddaughter is there to visit WDW Friday. She was just in the ER due to cuts and a bacteria that got into her feet. Walking is difficult. Do we need to bring her discharge papers from hospital to prove medical need for wheel chair ?

    Hi Terry,
So sorry to hear about your sweet Granddaughter's feet! You'll be glad to know that Disney is more than happy to take guests at their word regarding the need for any sort of wheelchair or for the Disability Access Service (DAS) Card she may require to assist her in waiting for any attractions she would like to go on during her stay. The DAS Card can be obtained at Guest Services in any theme park; I would recommend doing that on the first day of your trip so you can use the DAS Card for the length of your stay.

Please do know that wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis and must be rented unless you bring your own. The link I've provided you will show you rental rates and other information you may need for your stay.

Here's to hoping she gets well soon!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
