Hi, Dawn! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
It sounds like you're getting ready for
a grand adventure with your granddaughter at the
Walt Disney World Resort. How exciting! My daughter was 3 years old the first time we took her to the Walt Disney World Resort, and it was the perfect age to experience all of the Disney magic! You and your family are going to make memories that you will treasure for yEARs to come!
Children under the age of 3 are considered "Guests of Mickey," but all guests ages 3 and up must have a valid
theme park ticket to visit a Walt Disney World
theme park. Therefore, your granddaughter will need a
MagicBand or admission card to scan when entering the parks. She will also need her MagicBand or admission card when entering the queue for your selected
FastPass+ attractions.
If you are staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, all guests in your party will receive a complimentary MagicBand. This is just one of the many
benefits of staying right in the middle of the magic. You will love the convenience of using your MagicBand; everything you need is right there on your wrist! If your
My Disney Experience account is not giving you the option to select a MagicBand for your granddaughter, I would recommend calling the
Help Center phone number for My Disney Experience, MagicBands, and FastPass+. A Cast Member should be able to sort that out for you quicker than you can say, "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!"
If we can answer any other questions for you as you get ready for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please visit us again. Have a magical day!
