Greetings, Patti, and thank you for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for assistance with your upcoming trip.
I’m a HUGE fan of costumes. I adore stepping into
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party decked out like a Pixar character or a Sanderson sister. This coming fall, I’m dressing up as a Dalmatian with my friends to attend the seasonal Halloween bash. Sadly, unless it's a Halloween Party night at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World has a strict policy regarding costumes:
Costumes or masks may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older. A long prom dress with a full skirt and fitted bodice certainly embodies the Cinderella look, and so being age 15, your granddaughter will not be allowed to wear it into the parks. She can, however, use one of my favorite design choices to embody her favorite Princess or apparel accent. Disneybounding has taken the Disney fan community by storm, as they wear black T-shirts, Red short and yellow shoes with mouse ears to celebrate Mickey Mouse, or a yellow knee-length sundress and a red rose brooch to show their love of Belle. There are many ways to Disneybound and share the pixie dust!
Should your granddaughter be interested, there is a fabulous tiara cart in Adventureland where it meets Frontierland. Directly across from
Tortuga Tavern, I stop to peer at all the gorgeous gems, tiaras, diadems and crowns available for purchase. I have a small comb-mounted tiara on my wishlist for my next trip! Combine one of these with a blue sundress or skirt and she’s ready to pose in front of Cinderella Castle! If I can assist in your Disneybound or park outfit, please let me know. I love making outfits! ~ Lindsey P.
