Hiya Kerry,
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your Florida resident question. You and your grandchild are in for such a special adventure. One of my favorite things about being a Florida resident is how easy it is to pop into the parks for a little magic, whether it is a spontaneous afternoon or a longer stay. Having Disney so close truly feels like living next door to the most magical backyard.
Let’s jump right into your question. If there are additional adults in the same household, they may need to show proof of the same Florida address. Florida residents under the age of 18 are not required to show
proof of residency, provided the adult purchasing the ticket or
annual pass is a Florida resident with valid proof of residency.
For Florida Residents over the age of 18, proof of Florida residency is required. Proof includes a Florida driver’s license, a Florida state-issued ID card, or a Florida-based military ID. It is also worth noting that Disney can request additional proof of residency at any time.
Since you will be visiting in February, I highly recommend spending some time at
EPCOT for the
Festival of the Arts. It is such a colorful and creative celebration with fun food booths, interactive art, and so many photo opportunities. It is also such a fun way to try new foods without any pressure. One of my girls’ favorites last year was the Artist Palette Cookie with edible paint.
Getting to “paint” their cookie before eating it was one of those little Disney moments that made us all smile.
Kerry, I hope this helps to answer your question. If any other questions pop up while you are planning, please feel free to stop by again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
