Do 8-10 year old girls typically wear princess gowns at Disney?

Hear ye, hear ye! I am thrilled to welcome you, Deb, to the Kingdom of planDisney. It is an honor to have you here today!

I'm very happy to report that I have seen girls of all ages wearing Princess dresses throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, they are encouraged to do so! All children under 14 years of age are more than welcome to enter the parks wearing full costumes to channel their favorite Disney characters. To be completely honest, I would love to go back in time just to be able to dress up as my favorite Disney Princesses at the Theme Parks. There is nothing quite like having almost every single Cast Member calling you a Princess all day long!

Deb, if you're going to be traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with young girls, I suggest that you consider making reservations for Princess makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. They will spend about 30 to 45 minutes being pampered by Fairy Godmother's wonderful group of apprentices, and they will walk out with a brand new hairdo, a Cinderella-approved makeup look (which is also age appropriate), a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique sash, and even a Princess dress, depending on the package that you purchase!

If you do decide to make reservations at the boutique, I also encourage you to make lunch or dinner reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table or Be Our Guest Restaurant for that same day. The girls will feel like REAL Princesses when they step through the gates of Cinderella Castle or the Beast's Castle, and the food at both of these locations is exceptionally good! If you can't find reservations for the boutique or any of these restaurants right away, I suggest checking back a couple of times a week just to see if new spots open up. ¡Lots of Guests cancel their reservations all the time, so don't lose hope!

Please don't hesitate to reach back out to us with any other questions you might have before your trip, Deb. We're always available and more than happy to help. Have a magical day!

    Warm hugs,
