My 10 year old will only eat off the kids menu at restaurants. Since we have to get her the adult meal plan, can we pay out of pocket for her and use her adult credits for the rest of the family? Like at Le Cellier which takes two credits for a meal?

    Hi there, Sandra!

I can totally relate with you because when my daughter turned 10, she still wanted to order off of the kids' menu as well. The Disney Dining Plan is a fantastic way to prepay for your meals prior to your trip, and if you plan ahead by making Advanced Dining Reservations, you'll be able to take advantage of lots of wonderful dining options available.

You'll definitely get a better value for your dollar if you pay out-of-pocket for your daughter's meals at each restaurant instead of using her adult meal entitlements as long as she orders off of the kids' menu. We have done this in the past with our family and it's worked out really well. The only thing I want to be sure to mention is that parties of 6 or more will automatically have the gratuity added at most restaurants, so you'll just want to be sure to let your server know ahead of time that you'll be paying for your daughter's meal on a separate check and will not be using the Dining Plan for her.

You are going to just love the Signature Dining experiences! Some of my family's favorites include Narcoossee's, Le Cellier and The Hollywood Brown Derby!

I sure hope this helps, Sandra! Please don't hesitate to write back in if we can help with any other questions you have!

Wishing you a Pixie Dusted vacation and Bon Appétit!
