Hey there, Tigen!
Welcome to planDisney. We're delighted you've brought us your wonderful
Walt Disney World Resort planning question! It looks like your amazing adventure to The Most Magical Place on Earth is approaching quickly, so let's discuss Walt Disney World Resort
dining policies.
Tigen, I checked in with a helpful Cast Member to confirm the answer to your question, and I'm happy to inform you that your 17-year old daughter will be able to dine alone at a
Table-Service restaurant at the Walt Disney World Resort! However, Guests must be 18 years of age or older in order to make reservations via the Walt Disney World Resort website or
My Disney Experience mobile app. Therefore, as long as you (or another responsible adult) have made the dining reservation on behalf of your daughter, she'll be able to enjoy a solo meal on property!
If you're hoping to pay for your child's meal, I recommend sending a
Disney Gift Card with her, Tigen. Almost all dining and merchandise locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort accept Disney Gift Cards as a valid method of payment, so they're my go-to solution for payments on property! Not only are they a sustainable option due to their ability to be reloaded again and again, but they'll also allow your
teen some flexibility and independence when exploring The Most Magical Place on Earth alone (without handing over a credit card).
Tigen, I hope you've found these details helpful. I wish your daughter a magical and memorable meal! If you have any additional planning questions, you're always welcome to stop back by
planDisney again. We're here to help you make the most of every memorable meal!
Bon appétit,
Lauren
