I have a 48 year old with Downs syndrome, and Alzheimers, He has a swallowing problem requiring pureed food. He has always loved Disney, we bring him to the World apx. 5 times a year. He wants to go on a Disney Cruise, How would we get his food puree

    Hello Marie!

I love how much you guys love all things Disney!  You will not have any issues getting his food pureed at the table service restaurants.  Just make sure you look on your Personal Navigator, the cruise line's daily newsletter for the times that the restaurants are open for meals.  On your first evening, please let your Servers know what you need, and they will take care of it for you.  Your evening Servers follow you from restaurant to restaurant each evening of your trip.  You can also ask to speak with the Chef, who will most likely prepare something delicious and appropriate to his needs.

I would also suggest you call Disney Cruise Line and let the travel representative you speak with know your concerns and the dietary requirements.  The cruise line is AMAZING at handling these concerns.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
