A 2 1/2 year old doesn't need a ticket. How do we manage fast passes?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Barbro!

Traveling to Walt Disney World Resort with little Mouseketeers is so much fun! It really is amazing to experience all of the magic of the parks through their little eyes. Tickets are required for Guests 3 and over, so you are correct that a 2 1/2 year old does not require a ticket. As such, they do not make FastPass+ reservations. They can enter the FastPass+ queue with an adult that has a FastPass+ reservation for that attraction or event. When you are making your FastPass+ reservations, you will choose experiences for all ticketed members of your group and your little prince or princess will be able to enjoy with them!

One thing to note, children under 3 years old are not required to touch their MagicBands at the touch points for FastPass+ queue entrances, but my son always wants to be like the "big kids". Cast Members have always been wonderful about letting him scan his MagicBand and encouraging him through the line! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!

Meet the Panelist: Crystal, Colorado

Hi! I’m Crystal and I’m a wife and mommy to two little Mouseketeers. My husband and I have been enjoying Disney Parks since before we were married, and now we take our children to see Mickey and the gang as often as we can, while  managing my oldest son's food allergies. Planning is key for my family to ensure that everyone has a safe and fun trip to our favorite place and it can be just as exciting as the trip itself. I can’t wait to help you plan your next adventure there, too! Learn More About Crystal
