I want to take my 3 year old to Disney this year, it may be after she turns 4. How much would a ticket for her cost? Also, how much can I expect to pay for 2 adult plus her while at the park for one day?

    Hi there, Brittney!

Disney Parks theme park tickets come in various types to suit your family's vacation needs. You can choose from one-day tickets or multi-day tickets. You can also choose between tickets that allow visiting just one theme park per day or Park Hopper tickets that let you experience more than one park on a single day. Let's go over some of the specific ticket options, focusing on one-day, one-park tickets. Note that prices are subject to change.

    Disneyland Resort
Let's start with where it all started: the Disneyland Resort in California. "Walt Disney's Original Magic Kingdom" offers one-day theme park tickets in a tiered system. The ticket tier to select depends on the day you choose to visit. Visiting on a weekend or holiday usually requires a higher-tier ticket. Tier 1 tickets at the Disneyland Resort start at $104 for Guests aged 10 and older and $98 for children ages 3-9.

To find out the price of one-day tickets to the Disneyland Resort, start by logging on to the theme park tickets web page. Under the "Select the Number of Days" section, choose "1" for one-day tickets. Then scroll through the calendar to select your preferred date. Once your date is selected, the section below that on the ticket page will let you choose how many Ages 10+ tickets and how many Ages 3-9 tickets you would like to purchase. Then choose your ticket type: "Admission to 1 Park" or "Park Hopper TIcket." One final option is to upgrade your ticket with Disney MaxPass, an option I highly recommend.

    Walt Disney World Resort
With four theme parks, two water parks, hundreds of dining locations, and much more, the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida offers a tremendous variety of choices for your vacation. There are a few more ticket options available as well. Standard one-day theme park tickets at the Walt Disney World Resort start at $104 for children 3-9 and $109 for Guests ages 10 and older, taxes not included.

Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets are purchased for specific dates. The process of selecting standard theme park tickets is similar to purchasing for Disneyland Resort, letting you choose the number of days, the ticket type, date of visit, and numbers of tickets for the two available age ranges. Tickets may be purchased at the parks when you visit.

Tony's Tip: Walt Disney World Resort Guests who purchase tickets before they travel may take advantage of the complimentary Disney FastPass+ service early. FastPass+ lets you reserve expedited access to up to three attractions each day of your visit. Selections of available FastPass+ times may be made up to 30 days before your visit. Guests staying at one of the many Disney Resort Hotels may make FastPass+ selections up to 60 days before their first day.

Note that the Disney FASTPASS service at the Disneyland Resort in California only allows for making FASTPASS selections on the day of your visit. Guests with Disney MaxPass enjoy even greater access to FASTPASS at the Disneyland Resort.

Whichever destination you choose, you are sure to find a magical experience. Thanks for your question, Brittney. Please stop by again if you would like to ask any more. We're happy to help!
