My 2 and 1 year old daughters will be running the princess kids dash in Feb, will there be characters there for meet and greet? We are going to Magic Kingdom afterwards. How long should I plan for us to be at the races and how early should we arrive?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tiffany! I’ve run the Princess Half Marathon weekend races three times and I love it so much! I think your little girls will love the kid’s races and diaper dashes, too.

On Saturday, February 23, 2019, there were be various heats for each race. You can find start times on the runDisney Princess Half event page, including where race bib pickup will be and parameter depending on which race you have registered for. The races are from 10:30am until about 2pm at the ESPN Wide World of Sports, with about an hour for each race set up and “go” time. You will find posted at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel bus times, as well as in the Digital Event Guide, which you will receive by email about one month before the races, This will have your arrival times inside. There should be at least a few characters on hand for photos and to chEAR your kids on as they run. In 2016, Minnie Mouse was at the finish line dancing as all the little kids waved, squealed and ran in for hugs. You’ll also find obstacle courses for play and other activities for family fun.

I hope your family has a wonderful RACEcation and we’ll see ya real soon. Be sure to stay hydrated in the Florida sun! ~ Lindsey P.
