Hi Whitney! Welcome back to planDisney!
Let the countdown begin until you are splish-splashing around
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park during your upcoming stay! A trip here is a much-needed activity during a warm summer day and gives you a chance to cool off from some busy theme park days.
You're daughters are going to love the time they spend at Blizzard Beach. The water park is themed to perfection and has countless experiences that they are going to really enjoy.
Tike's Peak is an area of the park designed for younger children. The height listed for this attraction is 48" or shorter, which will give your youngest access to this area. With your 6-year-old only being slightly taller than the maximum height, I would check with a Cast Member to see if there are any exceptions based on your situation. There is a high likelihood that they will need to follow the listed rules, but it doesn't hurt to check what your options are.
Alternatively, plenty of options are available for Guests of all heights to experience. Melt-Away Bay, Runoff Rapids, and Ski Patrol Training Camp are a few options available for both our your girls to enjoy.
Teamboat Springs is a family favorite of ours and one that we can all experience together as a family.
Whitney, have you heard the major announcement for Guests visiting this summer? Beginning on May 21st,
both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be open and welcoming Guests for a period of time. When you arrive in June, you'll have a choice of which water park you want to enjoy. This will be the first time both have been open at the same time in several years.
You'll also be happy to know that if you are staying in a Disney Resorts hotel during this trip, you'll have
complimentary access to one of the water parks on your check-in day. This is a perk that is being offered for all of 2025, so I suggest taking full advantage of this while you are there.
I hope you have a magical time during your stay, Whitney!
