I have a 5 year old daughter and a 13 year old son. Their birthdays are Oct ober 13 and 14. We are wanting to make their birthday very special this year. We don"t have an extravagant budget but need some advice. Both of them, this is their first t

How fun that your kiddos celebrate birthdays just one day apart!  October birthdays are my favorite, but since I'm a Libra myself I might just be a tad biased.

The first thing that came to mind when I read your question was Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  It's a special event only held in the fall of each year.  It will cost you extra for the ticket to attend, but doing so will make for one spooktacular evening.  Your whole family is welcome (encouraged, even!) to dress up and trick-or-treat throughout the park.  You can also enjoy many of the most popular attractions as well as an exclusive parade and fireworks show (both of which are fabulous, by the way).  I wouldn't consider the price of admission "extravagant' per se, but it is a bit pricey.  If it fits your budget, I highly recommend it as a great event to help celebrate two extra special birthdays!  Enjoy.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
