Hello Tyler,
Thanks for coming to see us here at planDisney!
Let me start by offering a big "well done!" and "way to go!" to your daughter for her school assignment. While I don't know the details about the project, I personally think that writing about
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror makes for a great topic. There's so much great stuff to learn about and write about with this fan favorite -- the ride attraction itself and how it works, the theming, the new makeovers and re-theming, and so much more.
I can imagine your daughter is very proud of her work and the report that she produced. And I can imagine that you're just as proud, and for all great reasons.
"Every child is born blessed with a vivid imagination,"
said Walt Disney. I'll venture a guess that your daughter has a vivid imagination of her own. Perhaps with her imagination, her research and writing skills, and her passion for Disney theme parks and their attractions, she has an eye on a future with Walt Disney Imagineering -- the creative team behind all the attractions we experience when we visit a Disney theme park. In fact, if you
visit the Walt Disney Imagineering website, you'll learn about how they make their magic happen and
you just might spot a mailing address for them on their
Imaginations competition page.
(I'll mention, just to share, that The Walt Disney Company has a
policy of not accepting submissions that they don't directly request, so I can't be certain what type of response your daughter might or might not receive. )
I do hope your daughter gets rave reviews for her writing project. I also hope she pursues her passion for learning about
the magic of storytelling that we encounter when we ride attractions like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
One more quick note, Tyler. If your daughter enjoys reading, and especially if she enjoys reading Disney-themed books, she might really enjoy the young-adult series of
The Kingdom Keepers books by Ridley Pearson. Each book is such a fun and thrilling adventure that explores the Disney Parks and attractions.
Tyler, please be sure to say "congratulations!" to your daughter for me. I wish her the best of success in all her schoolwork. Tell her to keep up the great work!
Here's wishing you all lots of Disney magic in your day today!
Jerry
