Hi there, Jody! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
How exciting that your daughter will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in just a couple of weeks. From my Mama heart to yours, I fully appreciate that you're making sure she's able to eat when you're not with her and
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering gets an A+ for convenience.
The first thing you will need to do is to make sure she has the
My Disney Experience Mobile app downloaded on her phone and her appropriate tickets and reservations linked. Once this is all set up and done, you can add a credit card by clicking on "
My Profile" and then "
Payment Method." This is a necessary step as she will pay via the app when placing her order.
Then, when your daughter is in the park, all she need do is open her My Disney Experience Mobile app and click on "Mobile Food Orders" to get started.
Currently there are Quick Service restaurants at all four theme parks and Disney Springs
that offer mobile ordering. For example, if she's at Magic Kingdom Park and wondering what all the Dole Whip hype is about, she can order one from
Aloha Isle. As mamas, we don't want her to survive on ice cream alone, so a few other restaurants that offer mobile ordering are
Columbia Harbour House,
Pinocchio Village Haus, and
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe (just to name a few), all at Magic Kingdom Park.
Jody, if she has time before her trip, I would encourage her to take a quick look at all of the
restaurants across the Walt Disney World Resort that offer mobile ordering so she has an idea of food types and availability. Two of my favorites are
Flame Tree Barbecue at Disney's Animal Kingdom and
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
I hope this helps as you are preparing your daughter for her exciting band trip! Come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have,
Lauren
