My 10 year old daughter and I are taking my mom to WDW for mom's 1st visit. We'll be in MK on Mother's Day. Any suggestions for a nice but not too pricey dinner? Beast's Castle has no available reservations. Thank you!

    Hi Jennifer,

Your mom will absolutely LOVE celebrating Mother's Day at the Walt Disney World Resort. It is the perfect place to plan a day as special as she is.

Be Our Guest Restaurant is extremely popular. In fact, many guests book their dinner reservations there 180 days in advance of their visit. However, I urge you to continue to search periodically for reservation availability. Cancellations do happen from time to time and then become available online. If you happen to be searching at the time a cancellation takes place, you'll be able to snag that much coveted dinner reservation.

If your heart is set on having dinner inside the Magic Kingdom Theme Park, I would recommend booking dinner at The Crystal Palace or Tony's Town Square Restaurant. Both are very nice moderately priced options. Another possibility is to make same-day dining reservations at the newest restaurant in Magic Kingdom Theme Park, namely the Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen. As of this writing, dinner reservations at this eclectic restaurant are only available on a day-of booking basis.

If you don't mind stepping outside the theme park for a bit, consider the Grand Floridian Cafe or The Wave... of American Flavors. The former is located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the latter at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Both are only a short monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom Theme Park.

Wishing you a most memorable visit!
