Hello there, Nichole, and welcome to planDisney! You’ve come to the right place with your question today. I see that you are planning a fall visit to Walt Disney World this year. I am sure you and your family are so ready to take a family vacation and get back to that Disney magic we all know and love! While that magic is still there, it does look somewhat different at this time.
As you can see on the
Experience Updates pages, there are many new policies in place in order to prioritize the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. One of these essential policies has to do with
face coverings. The policy specifically states that face coverings are required for the safety of all Guests and Cast Members, and no individual exceptions may be made to exempt any Guests age two or older from this policy. Per Walt Disney World Resort, if select Guests feel they are not able to wear a face covering for any reason, they understand and recognize that now may not be the best time for those parties to visit. Because of this, the
cancellation policies are more straightforward than ever, with the ability to cancel most vacations without penalties when booked directly from Walt Disney World Resort.
Nichole, I know this may not be the news that you were hoping to hear. However, it is still many months until your planned visit date! If you choose to keep your reservation, simply keep an eye on the
cancellation deadlines, and you can still take advantage of the flexibility to modify at a later time.
Please know that we are here for you during any step within your planning process, and it would be a pleasure to see you back here again very soon.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Clara
