We have a 7 year old daughter and soon to be 4 year old son, we have 4 park days. Which park should be do twice- MK, Epcot or Hollywood? Also, please suggest an itinerary. My son still naps midday and we usually do bedtime at home around 8:30. TIA!

    Hi Jill,

To answer your first question, because of the ages of your kids, if you want to visit a Walt Disney World Theme Park twice, then you should undoubtedly choose Magic Kingdom Park. That being said, my little guy is almost 4 too and one of his favourite Parks from all of his visits to Walt Disney World Resort (he’s gone 7 times since he was 5 1/2 months old!) is definitely Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I didn’t see it in your list, and I really don’t think that you should miss out on all of the fun and interactive animal exhibits and attractions.

As for nap schedules, here’s the trick that always worked for me. I separate our Park days in half: morning and evening. In the morning, we arrive as early as possible and do all of our “can’t miss” attractions, usually using our 3 FastPass+ selections during that time. We leave the Parks no later than 1:00 p.m., have a quick bite back at our hotel and then I’d put my guy down for his nap between 2:00-2:30 p.m. Although he doesn’t nap at home anymore, he’d be so tired from his (usually hot) morning of fun, that he’d drop off to sleep for at least 2 hours. When he wakes up, that’s when we head back to the Parks for an evening dining reservation and fireworks/nighttime entertainment. Because I shift his nap by 2 hours while we’re away, he’s able to stay up at least 2 hours past his regular 8:30 p.m. bedtime. I encourage you to try this schedule during your upcoming vacation - it worked wonders for us! Plus, during your littlest one’s nap, your daughter can go splash around at your Resort’s pool, which should also allow her to get out of the heat and rest up for a fun-filled night.

    Have a Magical Day,
