My 5 year old daughter and I will be going in October for a full week. Just the two of us. I have already made reservations at certain restaurants. But I was wondering if the dining plan is worth it for a family of two?

    Hi Toni,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

One of the nice things about the Disney Dining Plan is that you purchase it for the number of people on your reservation.  So it is just as likely that it is a smart decision for a group of two people as it might be for a group of eight people.  It really depends on how you will eat on your Walt Disney World vacation.

I suggest that you take a look at the reservations that you have made, and then also consider where you will eat the rest of your meals.  If you are considering purchasing the Disney Dining Plan, you will receive one table-service meal, one quick-service meal, and one snack per person per night of your stay.  If you think that you and your daughter will eat all of these meals, then the Dining Plan might be worth it.  If either of you are light or picky eaters, the Dining Plan might not be worth it as it does include a lot of food.  I also suggest that you download the brochure for the Disney Dining Plan from the website I linked above.  Check it to be sure that the restaurants that you are going to eat at are on the Disney Dining Plan.  While most Walt Disney World restaurants are, there are a few that are not.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Toni.  Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
