My 20 year old daughter is going to MNSSHP as Darth Vader but her costume has a full cape. Will she still be let into the party with the long cape or do we have to modify the costume??

    Hi Michele!

I'm so excited to hear that you are getting ready to enjoy Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party because it's my favorite special event at Magic Kingdom! The theme park is veiled in a special Halloween atmosphere once the sun sets on party evenings that you will enjoy as you trick-or-treat through the theme park. Plus, the party's exclusive entertainment is phenomenal. Be sure to plan on enjoying Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade during your evening so you can celebrate the season with some of your favorite Disney Characters, ghosts and Villains as they make their way down Main Street, U.S.A.!

Guests are encouraged to wear costumes to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and there are even special costume guidelines just for the party to help Guests celebrate the special evening. Unfortunately, Guests who are 14 years old and above cannot wear capes that go below their waists. So if your daughter's Darth Vader costume includes a cape longer than her waist, then she won't be able to wear it to the party. I recommend that you either find a shorter cape for her to wear to the party or skip the cape altogether. For additional information, check out the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Costume Guidelines.

Michele, there are quite a few new things headed to Walt Disney World Resort in time for your trip, so I recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as you continue planning for the latest news and announcements. Also, let us know if we can help you again as your vacation approaches! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
