    Hello, my 7 year old daughter and I will be going from the Grand Floridian to the Boardwalk to go to her bibiidi... Appt in the morning. What travel do you recommend and other activities we should plan to do in that area?

    Hello Katy!  Thanks for asking your question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. 

    The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a wonderful experience for little girls.  My 7 year old just got a makeover last week and had the most magical of times.  Just to be clear, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has 2 locations on Walt Disney World property.  The first is located inside Magic Kingdom and the second location is at Downtown Disney.  Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk area are two different locations. I'm not sure if you know that or not, but I would hate for you to arrive at the wrong location for your appointment.  If you are trying to get to Downtown Disney from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you simply head to your bus stop and hop on the bus designated for Downtown Disney.

    Besides the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience, which is located inside the World of Disney Store, there are many fun things to do at Downtown Disney.  We love strolling from store to store, picking up some of our favorite souvenirs along the way.  I also really enjoy dining at Downtown Disney.  My favorite spot for lunch is Earl of Sandwich.  Don't let the long line stop you from eating there, it moves fast and is long for a reason.  The sandwiches are really, really good.  There are also many great sit down restaurants there as well.  Right now, my 7 year old really likes eating at T-REX which is a dinosaur themed restaurant that has a meteor shower inside ever 30 minutes.  After eating a really great meal, there is always room for a sweet treat.  For that, we always venture to Goofy's Candy Co. for the amazing goodies hand dipped in chocolate or the Goofy's Glaciers that taste a little bit like a frozen coke.  

    There are so many wonderful things to see, do and try at Downtown Disney, I am sure you will have no trouble finding something to do after her appointment.

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
