My 9 year old daughter is going on a cruise with her 11 year old best friend. Can we put her in edge with her friend. She is very mature for her age and would be bored in the kids club.

Ahoy there, Adriene!  Welcome to planDisney!

The age requirements for the Youth Activities are strictly enforced for the safety of the young Guests.  Your daughter will need to go to Disney's Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lab, and her best friend can go to Edge.  They will be able to spend time together in the same Youth Activities space during Open House.  All Open House times will be available in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, so make sure to have that downloaded prior to boarding the ship.

There are activities outside of the kids' spaces for them to enjoy together!  They can go to the pool and watch Funnel Vision, do arts and crafts, have their pictures taken with their favorite characters during meet-and-greets, or compete in trivia together.  There is so much to do on Disney Cruise Line!

If you have any other questions, Adriene, sail back to planDisney.  We are happy to help.

    Adventure is out there!
