My 26 year old daughter who has autism would like to bring her portable DVD player on board our cruise in November. Will she be able to bring one? Does it matter if it is electric plug in or battery operated?

    Ahoy Lori –

Thanks for dropping in with such a relevant question about portable DVD players. Your daughter is welcome to bring her portable DVD player on your upcoming November cruise as long as it is not connected to the stateroom television in any way.  The portable DVD player will need to be battery operated in order to comply with ship regulations. If it is the type that plugs into an electrical outlet, the ship’s electrical engineering team would need to inspect the device to make sure that it is compatible with the electrical systems onboard before allowing it to be used.  If they find the portable DVD player is not compatible, then the device will be stored until the end of the cruise at which time it is returned back to the guest. Your daughter may not need her DVD player at all since the Stateroom Entertainment via the in-room television  has great selections of movies and shows available throughout your voyage. Lori, we are so happy that you sailed in for a visit at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Happy cruise planning to you!
