Hi Ellen,
Being able to enjoy vacations at Walt Disney World with friends and family members, and providing the gift of travel to others, is such a great benefit to
Disney Vacation Club membership!
Ellen, I am unclear from your question whether you and your husband will be staying in the same Disney Vacation Club accommodation with your daughter, and simply arriving at the Resort following her arrival, or whether your daughter is intending to take this trip on her own. Regardless, in either case, there should be no problem with your intended travel plans.
If your daughter is travelling without you, as long as she is at least 18 years of age at the time of travel, she will be all set and ready to check into any Disney Vacation Club Resort (or for that matter, any
Walt Disney World Resort hotel) on her own.
In the event your daughter is simply arriving at your Disney Vacation Club Resort before you and your husband, there should also be no problem with her checking-in prior to your arrival. On numerous occasions friends of mine who have been staying with me at a Disney Vacation Club Resort where I was the lead guest on the reservation have been able to check into the room prior to my arrival. Obviously you will want to ensure that your daughter's name is added to the Resort reservation, with the reservation being linked to her
My Disney Experience account. Provided these simple steps are followed, it should be Hakuna Matata!
Should your daughter have any further questions in preparation for her upcoming trip, please let her know she can visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel anytime. We are here to help and would be happy to hEAR from her!
Magically Yours,
Trish
