    I have a 6 year old and I am concerned about his swimming abilities while at Castaway Cay. Can I bring my personally owned life vest onto the beach for his use during our port call? Thank you

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Oh my goodness, your cruise to paradise will be here before you know it! I'm sure you're getting so excited! Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, is absolutely gorgeous! My family was just there this past January and my son loved playing on the beach. Whenever we visit Castaway Cay, I never want to leave!

    I understand your concern regarding your son's swimming abilities while on the island. You may bring your own life vest from home to use on the beach at Castaway Cay. I wanted to also mention that there are inflatable life vests on the island that are available to Guests free of charge! We love to snorkel in Castaway Cay's snorkeling lagoon and find that the complimentary inflatable life vests are very comfortable to wear! However, if you think your son would be more comfortable in the vest he's used to from home, please feel free to bring it along!

    You are going to be in awe of how beautiful Castaway Cay is! I hope you and your son have a blast splashing in the turquoise waters and playing in the sand! Please don't hesitate to visit us again for any last-minute questions before your voyage!
