Hi Melissa!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney! As a mom to 5-, 7-, and 9-year-old boys, I’m happy to help you out!
Of course, each kiddo will have different interests and thrill levels, so definitely take that into account when you’re choosing which attractions to add to your must-do list. But here are my boys’ current favorites:
-
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (This attraction was just refurbished, and it’s better than ever! We actually like to rope drop this ride AND try to get a Lightning Lane for it later in the day, so we can ride it a couple of times without waiting too long.)
-Haunted Mansion
-Mad Tea Party
-Peter Pan’s Flight
-Pirates of the Caribbean
-
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (38” height requirement)
-The Barnstormer (35” height requirement)
-Tomorrowland Speedway (32” height requirement)
-Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
In addition to the rides, a couple of shows my boys have been loving lately are Mickey’s PhilharMagic and Country Bear Jamboree.
Going into my park days, I always like to make a must-see list and a nice-to-see list. That way, I know what our priorities are, but I also know what else we’d be interested in as we make our way through our list.
Magic Kingdom is one park I absolutely love using
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass at, too. There are so many attractions with Lightning Lanes at that park, so I’ve always found it worth it. Plus, my boys (and let’s be honest…me, too!) aren’t fans of waiting in long lines. So, it really helps the flow of our day and prevents some meltdowns.
You can purchase your Lightning Lanes up to 7 days in advance of your trip (subject to availability), depending on whether you’re staying at a
Disney World resort or off-property, if that’s something you’re interested in.
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, feel free to come back and visit us. Have the best trip!
