Will my 4 year old boys enjoy Fantasmic after spending the afternoon in Hollywood Studios?

Hello, Kelly, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

While there is so much to see and do at Disney's Hollywood Studios, one of my favorites is Fantasmic! This show is an excellent way to cap off a day spent with everyone from Woody and Buzz to Anna and Elsa to Darth Vader and Kylo Ren.

The first time my daughter saw Fantasmic! she had just turned three. She was in awe of the lights, music and the multitude of Disney Characters in the show. She was a little intimidated by Maleficent as a dragon, but once she sat in my lap for that portion of the performance she was fine. (Now, six years later, that's one of her favorite parts!)

With two little ones, I would like to make a couple of suggestions to help them (and you) enjoy the show to its fullest potential. First of all, you might want to consider using this as one of your three FastPass+ experiences for the day. While my family and I have never been turned away from the standby seating, you do need to arrive a little earlier to make sure you can get good seats, With a FastPass, though, your seats are guaranteed (in a specially-designated section), so you won't need to arrive quite so early. When we attended the show in December, we arrived close to the end of our FastPass+ window and still had excellent seats. Secondly, you might want to let this be a day you get a later start at the Theme Park or try to schedule in a nap break at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel in the middle of the afternoon. This will help make sure your little ones aren't exhausted and overstimulated!

Hopefully these tips will help you and your family enjoy the show. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
