Aloha e komo mai, Cassie!
Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! I was so excited when I saw a fellow Canadian in our queue, and I am so happy to be answering your question today. This sounds like such a magical vacation already, and I cannot wait for you and your children to make memories that will last a lifetime at the Walt Disney World Resort. Also, did you know that you will be travelling on "Stitch Day" or 6-2-6 day? It is the perfect occasion to spend time with your Ohana!
First, let's talk about Disney Resort hotels! When travelling with little ones, I would highly recommend staying at one of the themed value Resorts, specifically
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort or
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. These Resorts truly transport you into the animated Disney movies that you know and love through their decorations, impressive statues and themed rooms and pools. You might not get to go on a Hawaiian rollercoaster ride, but you will still get to go under the sea with Ariel and Nemo! If you would like to practice your Elvis Presley traits like Stitch, you should also look into
Disney's Pop Century Resort. Each of these Resorts includes
complimentary bus transportation, while some even have access to the
Disney Skyliner and have quick service food courts near the lobby, although meals are not included in the price of your room. Now, Pudge does not control the weather in Florida, so you may expect average temperatures of 30 degrees Celcius during the day and low-mid 20s at night.
Now, Cassie, let's go over some must-dos for you and your Ohana! First, I recommend getting breakfast at '
Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Not only will you enjoy a family-style breakfast in the beautiful ambience of the Polynesian Resort, but you might also get to experience some special 6-2-6 day treats over at Pineapple Lanai! Then, catch the boat to Magic Kingdom Park and stop by Cinderella Castle to watch
Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire. If parades are more your style, grab a spot for the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and the various cavalcades available throughout the day. You might even see your pal Stitch walk right down the middle of Main Street USA! Another favourite of mine, to continue in the theme of spending time with your Ohana,
is "
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration." You will see your (second) favourite two sisters and their Royal Historians as they tell the story of Frozen and sing along to its royal anthems. Lastly, as you know, Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten, so make sure to get your Mickey hugs in at the various character meet and greets around the parks!
I hope this was helpful, Cassie, and that you and your Ohana will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out! You are part of our planDisney Ohana now, and we are always happy to help!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
