Hi there, I have a 6 year old boy who is Deaf on one side. He wears a hearing aid and I was wondering if there is anything we need to do to prepare for our visit at WDW. we've been to the parks before but he didn't have his hearing aid then. any advise?

    Hi Lauren,

I'm very excited about your upcoming trip!  Disney is amazing at assisting people with special needs with the specific purpose of making their trip as magical as possible.

Please check out the Guests with Hearing Disabilities webpage that I've added.   I'm not sure of the severity of your son's hearing loss, but there are several options that Disney makes available.  Some of these are Handheld Captioning, and Assistive Listening Systems which are recommended for Guests with mild/moderate hearing loss.

I hope this information helps!  Have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World.

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
