Ben Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My 4 year old has become scared of most things lately. I have booked Sci-Fi for dinner and I am worried that it might end up a waste of a dining plan credit if she ends up being frightened of the dark and movies. In your experience what do you think?

    Hi Ben,

The lighting is low at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater and most guests sit at tables shaped like parked cars at an old-fashioned drive-in theater.  It's a cool experience but I can see how it might frighten a four-year-old who seems timid about many things lately.  If I were you, I'd change your reservation to a different location.  I would assume that the 50's Prime Time Cafe would feel less frightening to her.  Perhaps you'd like to give that restaurant a try instead.  You can always try the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater on a future trip.

Wishing your family many magical memories during your upcoming trip!
