Hiya, Christina! Welcome back to planDisney!
Happily Ever After is one of my favorite experiences at Walt Disney World, so I’m thrilled to help you find the right spot for your kiddo to view this (or any other) fireworks spectacular. Did you know that the song used in the Magic Kingdom fireworks show actually debuted at Hong Kong Disneyland as part of its 10th anniversary celebration? Well, know you do! That’s some useful trivia that will totally impress your friends. Trust me.
When visiting the Magic Kingdom, some good spots to view the fireworks and still see the projections are to the sides of the central hub viewing area, such as just over the bridge into Tomorrowland. You’ll have to make sure you’re staying out of the walkways, which is true of any recommended viewing locations, but I’ve found there are usually fewer people. I also like the corner of Center Street on Main Street U.S.A., between Uptown Jewelers and Crystal Arts. There were relatively fewer people on this part of Main Street during my last visit, and Center Street is a good place for your kiddo to take a break from all the excitement if they need it.
The dessert parties at Tomorrowland Terrace can also give you a great view of the castle with more elbow room, as well as a delicious assortment of snacks and treats. There are three different party reservations that will give you access to prime fireworks seating: The
Pre-Party,
Seats and Sweets, and
Post-Party options. The Pre- and Post-Party options allow you to watch the show from the Plaza Garden and then enjoy your dessert before or after the fireworks (depending on which one you booked). The Seats and Sweets option occurs during the show and guests watch from the Tomorrowland Terrace patio.
Christina, I hope this information is helpful and you find a great spot for your daughter to view the fireworks. Pop right back if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
