I want my 6 year old to have an amazing time when we are not at the parks. Any suggestions for best hotels for him?

Welcome Stephynie! Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I am glad to know you are planning a Disney vacation for your family and considering to stay at a Disney Resort Hotel. There are many great hotel options for families with smaller kids, but my favorite one is Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. This is an adorable place, offers very nice decorated rooms and family suites and they are all inspired by some of your favorite animated movies: Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. There is the largest resort pool at WDW, perfect for relaxing moments. Besides, there is a good Food Court, Lansdcape of Flavors, that offers many food options.
But, if you prefer staying at a monorail resort, which is very convenient, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is my family’s first option. You will be very close to Magic Kingdom Park, and if you choose a Theme Park View Room, you can watch the fireworks spectacle presented at Magic Kingdom Park - Wishes Nighttime Spectacular – from the comfort of your room. Walking around the beach for playing with the sand, and having a Character Dining Breakfast at ‘Ohana are my little daughter’s “must-do” activities while staying in there.
Hope this helps your planning. Let us know if you have further questions.
    Have a fantastic day!
