Hi there, Kristin! Thanks for visiting planDisney. It's great to have you here!
I hope you are enjoying the planning stages of preparing for your Disney Cruise Line vacation. For my family, there is nothing like a Disney Cruise. I can't wait for you to step aboard and experience the
activities, entertainment, and pure Disney magic for yourself.
I wish I had better news to share with you, but unfortunately, your 11-year-old will not be able to attend
Disney's Oceaneer Club with her siblings during secured programming times. Disney Cruise Line does not allow exceptions to their age rules when it comes to youth spaces. The good news is, that your children will be able to explore the Oceaneer Club together (and any youth spaces, for that matter) whenever Open Houses are scheduled. An Open House is a time when guests of all ages (yes, adults too!) can experience the ship's youth activities venues. During all other times, the youth activities venues are reserved for children based on age groups.
You can keep track of Open Houses within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you are onboard the ship. That's when you can view the Daily Activity Schedule and see all the fun that is in store. I suggest that you scroll through the schedule and click the heart icon next to any activities that interest you. If you enable app notifications, you can receive a reminder notification about 15 minutes before these activities begin. The reminders are especially helpful for me when I get carried away watching a movie or eating an ice cream cone by the pool!
Kristin, please sail back to us at planDisney if you have further questions. I'm wishing you a sailing filled with wonderful family memories!
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
