This year, we have decided to take our son to a Braves game at WWoS. I’ve seen photos of kids getting autographs from players. Any tips? We go to games in Atlanta but I know he would gladly give up a few hours in the park to possibly get autographs!

    Hi Deanna!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Going to an Atlanta Braves spring training game at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is something I recommend to all sports fans. Just visiting the complex is a treat in itself!

One of the best parts about spring training games is the more relaxed atmosphere. The players are great about giving autographs. I recommend getting to the field a couple of hours prior to the game. Usually, Champion Stadium will open two hours before game time and you can watch the teams warm up. This is a great time to get autographs. I do recommend calling the complex to confirm how early it will open the day of your game just so you don't waste any time. The number for the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is 407-541-5600.

Another tip is to not be shy about asking or about trying to get close to where they're warming up. The players enjoy interacting with the fans, so be sure to call them out by name. However, please don't get upset if they don't come over. Baseball is their job so they are technically working and may not have the time/permission to visit fans on that particular day.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
