Hello, this year I will be December 31st at Magic Kingdom (Orlando), to see the fireworks at midnight, is there a restaurant that has that package? Can i have dinner or dessert and watch the fireworks?

Hi Pilar, and welcome to planDisney!

I’m thrilled you’ll be ringing in the new year at Walt Disney World, what an incredible way to celebrate! Disney knows how to make every moment magical, and New Year's Eve is no exception. You’ll find special fireworks displays lighting up the night at both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. At Magic Kingdom, you can look forward to the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks, which typically start around midnight. If you plan to spend the entire day at Magic Kingdom, I recommend arriving early, as the park can reach capacity during big events like this. Be sure to catch some of the park’s daytime shows and entertainment to make the most of your day!

As for dining packages or special events for New Year's Eve at Magic Kingdom, nothing has been announced just yet, and in recent years, there haven’t been any specific fireworks dining packages. However, you can still enhance your experience with the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Seats & Sweets from the Enchanting Extras Collection. This gives you a prime viewing spot along with some tasty treats! If you prefer to dine at a restaurant inside the park, in my experience, none of the in-park dining spots offer excellent views of the fireworks. For a more relaxed experience, consider grabbing a meal from a quick-service spot like Casey's Corner or Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe and finding a great viewing location for the show. Alternatively, you could enjoy a nice sit-down dinner earlier in the evening at Cinderella’s Royal Table, Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, or Be Our Guest, and then treat yourself to a DOLE Whip as you wait for the fireworks to begin.

That said, some of the best spots to combine dinner and fireworks viewing are actually located outside of Magic Kingdom at the nearby Monorail Resorts. California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offer spectacular views along with a delicious meal. Personally, my favorite spot to watch the show is from the beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. With tiki torches glowing and the fireworks reflecting over the Seven Seas Lagoon, it’s an unforgettable way to end the year and ring in the new!

Cheers to a magical New Year's Eve celebration at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
