What a thoughtful mother you are, Larissa, to plan a sweet sixteen
celebration fit for a lovely princess!
It sounds like someone has described to you the
Bibbidi
Bobbidi Boutique experience at Cinderella Castle in the Magic
Kingdom (or at the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney). Princess
costumes can be purchased there and Fairy Godmothers-in-training will do
children's hair and nails. At the end of the experience, girls feel
very much like princesses. My concern, however, is that this experience
may not be appropriate for your daughter because of her age. Whenever I
have been to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique the clientele has been
overwhelmingly preschool and early school age children. As someone who
works daily with students your daughter's age, I think there's a good
chance she might be self-conscious in this environment.
Could I suggest an alternative? Have you considered a spa treatment at
Disney's nearby Grand Floridian Resort & Spa? They have some
wonderful packages you could select from their
Mother
and Daughter Spa Collection. Call (407) 824-2332 to make a
reservation. Then you could follow up her spa treatment with a lovely
tea in the the same resort's Garden View Tea Room. Or you could book
dinner with Cinderella at Cinderella's Royal Table back in the Magic
Kingdom. Call (407) WDW-DINE to reserve a table at either of these
restaurants.
Wishing your daughter a magical 16th birthday!
Jill
