Yeah a fellow Texan and Teacher on the panel! Weather question: Is summer (July/Aug) the same in FL as TX. Trying to decide when to go and thinking this will be our only chance. The hols are getting quite crowded, even T-Day week. Can't miss school.

Hello Shannon!  I am always excited to hear from a fellow Texan and teacher.  We are great all around!!!  I know what you are feeling.  Trying to take a day off from school is like having to prepare a research paper in 5 minutes.  Having your own personal kids take off days....don't want to come back to making up work.  As for your question-if you can handle Texas heat, you are ready for Florida!  It seems a bit more humidity is in the air, but it still feels like Texas.  I go every summer during these months and have always enjoyed myself.  My family has no complaints either.  Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions so that your trip is just fantastic!  Yes, my classroom walls are closing in on me!  How many more days till summer break?
