I have a 12 and 14 ye old, would Epcot be better than Disney for them? Not really into the kiddy stuff anymore.

Welcome to planDisney, Jennifer and Tony! Bringing your tweens and teens to the Most Magical Place on Earth is my kind of magic! As a mom to a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old, I'd love to share the things they love most about the Walt Disney World Resort to help you with your planning! Let's talk thrills, chills, and the magic of being a kid again!

The Walt Disney World Resort has four theme parks, and each one appeals to teens in its own unique ways, so let's dive into those first:
    • EPCOT offers teens an opportunity to explore four distinct neighborhoods: World Celebration, World Discovery, World Showcase, and World Nature. My teens love learning about the cultures (and foods) from around the world and exploring the SeaBase aquarium, Moana's Journey of Water, and one of the biggest thrill rides on property - Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!
    • Magic Kingdom Park offers a combination of family-friendly attractions alongside exciting thrills like Space Mountain, TRON Lightcycle/Run, and Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Your teens will love exploring the different lands, driving go-carts on Tomorrowland Speedway, and spinning wildly in a teacup!
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios is an excellent choice if your kids are into Star Wars and big thrills! Some of the teen favorites are The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock 'n'  Roller Coaster, and this park also hosts some of the best entertainment options like the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is an immersive park that takes you through an African safari, into an encounter with the Yeti, and down a winding river of surprise rapids and falls! Don't forget to stop by Pandora - The World of Avatar to take in its beauty as well!
Beyond the theme parks, there's much more to explore that teenagers will love! Disney Springs offers shopping, dining, and entertainment options; the Disney Water Parks offer splashes and thrills or a way to relax in the lazy river and catch some rays; and there are a variety of Enchanting Extras like art classes, horseback riding, and nighttime safari rides that are sure to excite them!

I'd say your teens will find plenty to enjoy no matter which destination you choose - you could even consider adding a Park Hopper Option to your ticket to explore multiple parks on the same day!

One last little bit of lagniappe before I let you go, check out Disney After Hours events during your visit! My teens have said this was their favorite event ever because they were able to ride all the attractions with little to no wait times and enjoy unlimited snacking on complimentary popcorn, ice cream treats, and bottled drinks! They love the late nights in the parks, too, so it's a perfect event for their age!

I hope this helps; I'm always happy to answer any follow-up questions about making magic with your teens, so come back and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
