Welcome to planDisney, Esther!
Sometimes I carry nothing but a smile and my
MagicBand+ when I visit my Happy Place. But more often than not, I'm bringing a bag packed with sunscreen, portable chargers, sunglasses, ponchos, and snacks. It is totally understandable that you'll need to bring as much as you can in order to enjoy your time at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
I'm not sure if the measurements you've provided are in inches or centimeters, but you'll want to double check that your backpack meets the theme parks'
guidelines for acceptable bag dimensions. The Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules state, “backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park or water park.”
Your backpack does not need to be clear or even opaque. In fact, my favorite bags to bring with me to the theme parks are rather colorful, bright, and the very opposite of clear. (And sometimes, I'll bring more than one
Loungefly bag at a time--I can't get enough of them!)
AN EXTRA GEM: If your backpack is too large, but you absolutely need it to have a magical day, you'll want to
rent a locker near the front entrance of the theme park. My friends here at planDisney find locker rentals super useful, so you may want to go that route.
And I'll leave you with the best news: You can indeed use cash at Walt Disney World Resort's stores, restaurants, and beyond. Some smaller kiosks and carts may not accept cash, and you'll need a digital or card option to use Mobile Ordering or purchasing Lightning Lane options in the
My Disney Experience App, but for the most part, you are good to go while on vacation. Esther, please
revisit us here at planDisney if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I just know that you're going to have the BEST time!
Magic always,
LeAndra
