We want to be at the xmas party 2015 but does the park close completly that day fot the party or can i plan to visit magic kingdom that day and just stay for the party? do rides open during the party ? Does the party happend at a special spot or all over?

    Hey Daniella!

I am so excited that you will be taking part in my favorite special event in all of Walt Disney World!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) takes place on select evenings in November and December at the Magic Kingdom. During the parties, typically from 7:00 p.m. - 12:00 p.m., that entire park closes and only guests holding parties tickets are allowed in. The park is still open to regular guests until 7:00 p.m. so you can definitely plan a practically perfect day at the Magic Kingdom prior to the party. A not-so-secret secret about the parties is that if you are holding a MVMCP ticket you can actually enter the park as early as 4:00 p.m.

If you are planning of spending your day at the Magic Kingdom make sure to head to one of the locations giving out the special party wristbands after 4:00 p.m. so you can enjoy all the rides, shows and special character meet 'n' greets without interruption.

While the party festivities such as Holiday Wishes and the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade are taking place, the restaurants, rides and attractions are still open. Don't forget to take some time to enjoy the snow falling on Main Street, U.S.A. and find a cookie and hot chocolate location to relax and take a break.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any more questions about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party or any other aspect of your Walt Disney World vacation please come back and see me.

Wishing you a *MAGICAL* vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
