Disney Cruise Line becomes extra festive during the holidays with special seasonal offerings for the entire family during the Very Merrytime Cruises. It brings a whole new meaning to “deck” the halls! Giant Christmas trees take over each ship’s lobby atrium or Grand Hall and Mickey and Minnie’s Merrytime Tree Lighting kicks off the magical celebration during your very first evening on board. The littlest sailors can enjoy story time with Mrs. Claus and kids both young and young at heart can visit with Santa Claus throughout the sailing. Disney’s very own island destinations even get a bit of a holiday makeover with tropical decorations and sandy snowmen.
There appear to be around 50 different Very Merrytime sailings leaving from Florida in November and December 2026 with departures from both Port Canaveral near Orlando and Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. Since five different members of the Disney fleet will be setting sail from Florida during that time, you have a variety of 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, and 7-Night itineraries to choose from. To see the full listing of Very Merrytime cruises from Florida, start by clicking on the “Plan a Cruise” tab at the top of the main website. Click on the white box labeled “Departing from” and select Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, or both. Then click on the “More Filters” option on the far right side to select “Very Merrytime” under the first question.

- 6-Night Very Merrytime Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale aboard the Disney Dream on December 21-27, 2026
- 7-Night Very Merrytime Eastern Caribbean Cruise from Port Canaveral aboard the Disney Treasure on December 19-26, 2026
You always hear about Christmas in July, so it seems like the perfect time to add a holiday getaway to your calendar for later this year. Just be aware that sailings embarking on December 26, 2026 or later do not have the Very Merrytime designation, so they are not considered specialty cruises and will not have the same offerings.
