w We are staying at the Swan in December. I can't not find a counter service restraunt in the swan but there is in the Dolphin how close are they to each other? Are they connected? Also do they use the same pool?

    Hey, Nancy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Aside from Disney's Contemporary Resort, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels are two of my most vivid memories of visiting Walt Disney World Resort when I was a teenager.

These, sister hotels, are not part of the Walt Disney World Resort collection but are privately owned and have many of the same theme park and Resort privileges as Disney Resort hotel Guests such as Complimentary Resort Transporation and Extra Magic Hours. WOW!

At the Walt Disney World Swan, there are many wonderful restaurants including the seasonally open Splash pool bar. Other than that the closest Quick-Service restaurant is about 500 feet away across the canopied walkway at Picabu in the Walt Disney World Dolphin.

All 5 pools, white sand beach, tennis courts and spa are shared. The Grotto Pool is open 24/7 but only has lifeguards available from 9:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. This place is heaven. Have fun under the waterfall!

Disney Dad Tip: Swan paddle boats are so much fun. If you have time to take one of these birds out, you should. Currently, they are $20 per 30 minutes and are first come, first sail. Also, next door is Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf if you want to practice your short game.

We are so glad to help you with your Disney vacation planning. Please come back with more questions.

Nancy, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
