If wthey close the water parks on check in day due to weather will Disney allow you to go free of charge on a different day of your stay assuming it reopens while you are still there?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Catelyn!

Welcome to planDisney! We are so glad you stopped by, and we are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! We know you are going to have the most MAGICAL time ever!

First of all, I have to say that the FREE Disney water park ticket offered on check-in day for Guests staying at a Disney resort has made a big SPLASH! The COOLEST thing about this promotion is that it is available to Guests throughout 2025. Now, this is what I call an awesome perk of staying at a Disney resort!

I did some investigative reporting on your great question, and this is what I found out. The very helpful Cast Member I spoke to said that if the Disney water park(s) are closed on your check-in day, he recommends you talk to Guest Relations. While this request is not guaranteed, he is pretty sure a Cast Member could sprinkle some pixie dust and make the MAGIC happen for you to visit on another day.

A couple of planDisney Disney water park tips for you...

    * Try to arrive at a Disney water park as soon as it opens. This will allow you to ride several of the attractions before everyone arrives.

    * Guests do not have to check in to their resort before going to a Disney water park. That means you can head straight to your water park of choice to save you time.

    * Pack a separate bag with everything you need for the water park. This will save you time from pulling things out of your suitcases the day you arrive.

Have you ever been to a Disney water park? I have to say my favorite is Blizzard Beach because of the most incredible water slide EVER...Summit Plummet! This is an extreme, 12-story, vertical freefall of pure awesomeness!

I sure hope this helps in your planning! If you have other questions, please let us know! You can also stop by the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information on all things Disney.

    Have a MAGICAL day!
