Hello, Michelle. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question. We are a group of moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents and even puppy parents that love to share our knowledge and passion about our favorite snacks and attractions while visiting Walt Disney World.
It sounds to me like you've visited
Walt Disney World recently. While I didn't find anything specifically online on the Walt Disney World website regarding this particular stroller policy, it is a common practice to not let strollers inside most buildings and restaurants at Walt Disney World. Pretty much anywhere at Walt Disney World that you see designated stroller parking outside, you are going to need to leave it in that area before entering the building. I do know that The Land Pavilion, where
Sunshine Seasons is located, is one of these areas where strollers do need to stay outside. It's unfortunate that your child was sleeping in their stroller at the moment you wanted to visit, but the Cast Member was just doing his/her job asking you to park it before heading inside. Hopefully, you were able to wait outside until your child was done napping and then were able to enjoy a nice meal at Sunshine Season once he or she woke up. Asking Guests to park their strollers outside of buildings really is for the safety and well-being of all Guests - even if it is a little inconvenient sometimes.
If you still have any questions regarding this matter, you can always contact
Guest relations for past Walt Disney World visits at (407) 939-6104 and a Cast Member will be happy to speak with you. I did want to let you know that the call centers are experiencing high call volumes at this time and your wait time might be longer than normal.
I hope this helps, Michelle. If you have any other questions about your vacation past, present or future please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help. I hope you have a nice rest of your day!
