Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicholas!
Visiting
Walt Disney World Resort sounds like a truly Magical way to celebrate your honeymoon. (And visiting Batuu while you’re there will definitely be an extra special bonus.) Before you embark on your journey to a galaxy far, far away, make sure you stop by Guest Services at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios (or any of the Theme Parks or your hotel's concierge desk) to pick up a couple of complimentary “Happily Ever After” buttons. Wear them with pride and you never know what kind of Pixie Dust you might encounter!
As far as your entry to
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is concerned, there will not be a reservation required to enter the land as there was when its counterpart opened at
Disneyland Park. I’m not sure when your arrival date is, but I would recommend staying tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog after Aug. 29 to get a general idea of what the crowds will look like. It is entirely possible for Galaxy’s Edge to reach capacity, but we aren’t 100% sure what will happen if or when that does occur. In the past when Theme Parks have reached their capacity there has been a pop-up notification in the
My Disney Experience mobile app as well as an email sent to Guests with
FastPass+ and/or confirmed
dining reservations, so make sure you have the app installed prior to your arrival in Orlando and check it periodically while you’re there.
My friends
Samantha and
Tony had the opportunity to visit
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge when it opened at Disneyland Park, and they both said the entire experience was amazing. Please note that
Savi’s Workshop -- Handbuilt Lightsabers is a pay-in-advance experience, and it is probably one of the Galaxy’s Edge shops that will require a wait to enter. Reservations may be required for Savi's Workshop, so make sure you check the Disney Parks Blog and/or ask a Cast Member when you arrive whether or not one will be necessary. Patience you must have, Nicholas!
Did you know that as a Guest at an official
Walt Disney World Resort hotel you’re eligible for
Extra Magic Hours? And for a limited time this Fall, you’ll have access to
extra, Extra Magic Hours. That means you can enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios (with a valid Theme Park ticket) as early as 6 a.m.! This might be your best bet for enjoying all that both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge have to offer.
Enjoy your Walt Disney World Resort honeymoon, Nicholas!
