    I have a wrist band with a hopper pass loaded on it from about 4 years ago. It was never used. Is the ticket still valid? I now want to add a hooper genie pass to the wrist band but do not know how to do it?

    Welcome to planDisney, Luanne. I'm so glad you've stopped by with your question. I'd be delighted to help you, as you plan your next visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Now is the time to visit too! Did you know it's currently the 50th Anniversary Celebration? There's a whole new world to see and experience, with new attractions, spectacular shows, memorable merchandise, dazzling décor, tasty treats, and delicious drinks. Make sure you check out the Beacons of Magic on display throughout each of the Theme Parks (my personal favorite is Spaceship Earth in EPCOT).

    But before we go any further, we need to figure out your ticket situation. If you have unused tickets, then the first thing to do is create and/or sign in to your My Disney Experience account. Check to see if your tickets are visible on the "My Plans" page. If not, you may still need to link your tickets. Just make sure you have your ticket ID number. Once you find your tickets, you should be able to see if they have expired or not. If they have expired, then Hakuna Matata! You'll be pleased to know that the value of any unused tickets can be applied to some new tickets (you'll just have to pay any difference in price). You'll just need to call "Existing Tickets" and a friendly Cast Member should be able to help you. 

    Once you have your valid tickets, the fun truly begins! If your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can then make Theme Park reservations. The new Disney Genie service is complimentary and will help you plan your day in a way that prioritizes what's important to you. There are two ways to upgrade to Disney Genie+. You can speak directory to a Cast Member and they can add this service to all of your tickets at once. Or you can do it yourself on a day-to-day basis once you arrive. I prefer the second option, as it gives you more flexibility. Here's how you do it:

    Open up your My Disney Experience app, click on the three lines at the bottom right corner of your screen, and then select "My Genie Day." There should be an option (in purple) that says "Get Disney Genie+ for Today." Once you select it, you'll find a list of all the people in your party that you've added via My Friends & Family. Select the members of your party that will use this service. Once you do that, you'll then make your purchase. You'll then have "phenomenal cosmic powers" which will enable you to select Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions.
