    Do we get the wrist band when we check into our hotel, or is it something we buy separately?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for dropping by with your awesome question about MagicBands.

    Kaylon, you will automatically receive a complimentary MagicBand if you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel! Once you link your Disney Resort hotel reservation to your My Disney Experience account, these complimentary MagicBands are customizable and available in a variety of colors. If you do not customize your MagicBand in advance of your vacation, you will receive a standard gray MagicBand when you check-in to your Disney Resort hotel.

    Guests staying off-site or who want a specific MagicBand design can also buy MagicBands online, on the Shop Disney Parks app or in person at Walt Disney World Resort.

    I love collecting MagicBands and use them interchangeably during vacations. I especially enjoy purchasing limited-edition or park-exclusive MagicBands. Although I always receive a complimentary MagicBand when staying at a Disney Resort hotel, I normally choose to buy additional ones during my vacation -- and then add them to my vacation!
