Wow. I am just seeing that the beaches at Carribean Beach Resort don't allow swimming! Before I pick our hotel based on a beach, please tell me which beaches allow swimming and which do not. Thanks.

    Hi Donna,

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a beautiful resort. The main pool, the Fuentes del Morro pool, features a zero-depth entry, two waterslides, and a splash water play area for small children. Each of the villages at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort also have leisure pools, which are quieter pools for relaxing. Although there are many resorts that have beaches at Walt Disney World, including Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, there are no resorts which allow swimming from the beaches. You can play in the sand, build a sandcastle, and enjoy the view, but you cannot swim from the beaches at Walt Disney World Resorts.

If you are looking for a beach-like pool, Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts is amazing.  This sand-bottomed pool includes an area with a sandy beach that is sloped into the pool like a beach. Please note that you would need to be staying at Disney's Yacht or Beach Club Resorts in order to use this pool. Another idea, if you would like to add on some beach time to your vacation, is to add on a couple of days at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, located just two hours from Walt Disney World. This lovely beach resort is a part of the Disney Vacation Club; however, you can book time there as a non-member as well.

I'm sure you will have a wonderful time on your Walt Disney World vacation, Donna. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
