Anna from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I was wounding what different between princess inspired hair and makeup and the touch of magic make up and how does at work and look like at the Disney grad California hotel and spa which one can give me soft and natural fairy look?

Greetings, Anna, and welcome to planDisney! I love that Tenaya Stone Spa is on your radar. There are so many experiences to choose from. Let's talk about some of the makeup offerings that you asked about.

I spoke with a friendly Cast Member at the spa who shared some details about the makeup sessions that are currently available. Just keep in mind that offerings are subject to change. The Princess-Inspired Makeup session is a little more defined, as you would choose from a selection of looks inspired by Disney princesses. I'd say these styles may be slightly bolder to match the aesthetic of the princess you select. The Touch of Magic makeup experience might be a little more customizable, since it doesn't follow a preset look. Rather, you could explain that you're looking for something soft and natural. You can contact the spa to discuss the style you'd like before booking.

Tenaya Stone Spa is a true oasis. In addition to makeup sessions, they also offer massages, pedicures, facials, and more! I went there for a massage and even had the option of listening to classical versions of Disney songs, which was unique and relaxing. I've had great experiences getting manicures there, too!

If you'll be going into the parks afterward, make sure to stop at a few PhotoPass locations to get some photos taken against iconic backgrounds! You could purchase Disney PhotoPass+ One Day so you can download all the photos you take that day. Or, unlimited PhotoPass downloads are included with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. The Disneyland mobile app is helpful because you can use the map to locate all of the PhotoPass locations.

Going back to the Grand Californian Hotel, where Tenaya Stone Spa is located, I hope you'll have a chance to walk through the breathtaking lobby. It's quite majestic. If you're looking for something to eat, there are plenty of great options in the area. Storytellers Cafe offers a fun Character Dining experience, and Napa Rose is exquisite!

Anna, if you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
