Hi Tracy,
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I find that adding a
Disney Dining Plan to your Walt Disney World Resort reservation offers lots of convenience and flexibility. On a trip earlier this year, my wife and I added the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. We loved the ease-of-use of having meals pre-paid while still getting to enjoy delicious foods and treats during our stay.
The opportunity to make substitutions when using a Disney Dining Plan will vary from location to location, as substitutions are offered at the discretion of the specific restaurant or food service location. In my family, we rarely drink soda, so when we selected beverages with our Quick-Service meals, we typically selected juices, teas, bottled waters, and other soda alternatives. There are also options for nonalcoholic specialty beverages like milkshakes, fresh smoothies, and slushy drinks. When using our refillable drink mugs at the self-service beverage islands, we always selected soda alternatives as well — typically coffees or iced teas. Because substitutions vary from restaurant to restaurant, it's always helpful to ask about what substitutions are possible.
One tip I can share that might help with planning how best to use your Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan is to
check the list of Walt Disney World restaurants and use the filtering features to display locations that accept the Quick-Service Dining Plan. You can then take a glance at the menus to see what food and beverages are offered and find just the right something for your preferences and tastes.
Tracy, here's wishing you lots of magic for your Walt Disney World vacations!
